If you have booked an appointment at OnTarget Massage, you agree to abide by the following conditions which are in place to protect both you (the client) and myself (Gemma Underwood) as the therapist.
Clients must give 48 hours’ notice if unable to come to the scheduled appointment or there is a need to change it. If less notice is given it is difficult for me to get another client to fill it and this results in my loss of income. Cancellation within 36 hours (until 24 hours) will result in a 50% charge being applied. If you give 24 hours or less notice to cancel your booking (or you do not attend), I would kindly ask that you pay for the full cost of your treatment.
If you have booked with a massage voucher and cancel within 24 hours of your booking the voucher will be considered spent and future treatments will require payment.
Please do not arrive earlier than your scheduled appointment time as I may be with another client and unable to answer the door. In the event of a client arriving late this will result in a shorter massage time as I will still have to finish on time so that I am not late for my next client. For your safety, it is not possible for me to reduce consultation time in the event of a client’s late arrival. The full fee as stated on the booking confirmation will still be payable as the full appointment time was still booked for you.
Payment for massage
Payment must be made in advance by bank transfer or by cash/card on the day please. Unfortunately I cannot accept cheques. Please note I do not accept bank transfer post appointment, due to some clients not paying or delay in payment being received.
Alcohol & Drugs
Any client arriving who appears to be under the influence of drugs (illicit or prescribed) or alcohol will not be treated as it is simply not safe to carry out massage.
Upon booking your first appointment, you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire, I would be grateful if you could complete this as soon as possible. Any changes to what is detailed on the form, must be disclosed at the earliest opportunity. It maybe that I need you to obtain permission from your medical team (GP, midwife or consultant) prior to your appointment, if this is the case, please do not think I am being difficult, it is just to check that your booked session is safe to be carried out. Your health and well-being is of paramount importance to me. If the questionnaire is not completed 24 hours in advance or more and there is a need to contact any of your medical team, or there are reasons you are not suitable for an appointment with myself, this will be treated as a cancellation and my cancellation policy will apply. Whilst massage is totally safe when administered professionally by a qualified therapist, there are certain contra-indications that require special attention. The information that you give will treated in the strictest confidence according to the Data Protection Act.

Gemma has the right to curtail an appointment should the conduct of the client be deemed in appropriate, in the unlikely event this should happen, you will still be required to pay for the full appointment time.
