Complementary therapies in a relaxing atmosphere
Meet Gemma Underwood
"My passion is helping women to feel nurtured, nourished and relieved from the every day stresses and strains"
I qualified in 2012 with a Level 5 Sports and Remedial Massage Diploma from the London School of Sports Massage. It wasn’t long before I realised my niche was helping women who wanted some relief from the stresses and strains in their lives.
After training in pregnancy massage, I soon found myself supporting women with pregnancy aches and pains. Many of my clients were starting to ask me about complementary therapies and whether these could these help with hormone related issues or those struggling to conceive for a second time.
This led me to training in Aromatherapy and also Fertility Massage Therapy™. I have since undertake many further training courses as part of my Continued Professional Development and read many complementary therapy books in the area of Women’s health. I pool all of my experience and knowledge to assist clients in the best way possible to help them achieve their desired outcomes.
I apply my knowledge to meet a client’s unique needs. For example, some powerful lower back techniques that I use during the Fertility Massage Therapy™, can be used on other clients who are also suffering from lower back pain.
My direction of specialism developed in early 2014 when my nephew was conceived it was an ideal time for me to train in pregnancy massage as I was at the age when friends and family were getting pregnant. Word soon spread about the pregnancy massages I was offering and my client base soon shifted towards those who wanted a natural way to alleviate pregnancy aches, pains and symptoms. Many of these clients have since stayed with me as part of their self care routine or to alleviate stresses of life.
In 2016 I trained in aromatherapy in order to add another dimension to the massages I offer. I soon found myself being asked if there was anything I could do support women who were having hormonal issues, heavy and irregular bleeds, menopausal symptoms or secondary fertility issues.
In 2017, I undertook Fertility Massage Therapy™ training, not only does this support women who are on a journey trying to conceive but can also assist in cases such as PCOS, endometriosis, heavy, irregular and painful bleeds. I still have clients for Sports & Remedial Massage, as this is where my initial specialism developed and is very much still a passion of mine.
You can often find me reading about women’s health, with a particular focus on womb health and researching ways in which the complementary therapies that I offer can support women on a holistic level. I undertake regularly training courses to deepen and widen my knowledge.
At weekends you can often find me walking my black Labrador or on a archery field. This is what influenced my business name choice

How do the therapy sessions work?
All my therapies are provided using a blend of modalities including massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, meditation, remedial advice, energy work, and nutritional advice.
You are fully supported on your journey towards your desired outcome in a holistic way as well as in a practical and emotional way. Although you will be given additional information pre and post appointment to support you, it will be tailored specifically with your needs and desires in mind.
When you go through a course of sessions or regular sessions, you will be fully investing in and supporting yourself. Each session will be tailor made to meet your needs with your end goal in mind. At the start of each therapy, we will review how you have been since the last session and what you would like to achieve from the current session.
Whatever therapy types you have with me, from a facial to holistic support on your fertility journey, each session is reviewed to make sure your needs are being met and any problems or concerns that you have can be discussed to make sure the course of therapy I provide is OnTarget for you.
